How long would fisheries be shut down if too many Albatross are killed?
I know that if X Short Tailed Albatross are brought onto long liners as accidental by-catch, the fisheries will shut down. Would only long lining be shut down? How long would they be shut down?

Read the long poem "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" by Samuel Coleridge. Because the Alatross was killed for food then bad luck struck the sailing ship. The ship got stuck in the doldrums and, "Water water everywhere and how the boards did shrink, water water everywhere and not a drop to drink".

I doubt that it would make any difference. People are to greedy and even if there was a ban the fishermen would still keep on the same as before. It's the same with any endangered species, the protection is only on paper and very little is actually done.
