How risky is jailbreaking an ipod touch/iphone?

I'm wondering what's the chance of rendering your ipod touch/iphone useless if you jailbreak it? Is it very risky or not? If you do render it useless, can you revert it back?

its VERY risky. If it gets contaminated in the process, then apple will not help. No. you cannot take back the jailbreakage. I would never, ever, do that to my ipod touch. Not for the most expensive apps in the app store. Easiest way to waste a perfectly good device.

No you will no longer visit reformatory for Jailbreaking. that is thoroughly criminal interior the U. S.. you're secure below the DMCA, "digital millennium copyrights act". even nevertheless, pirating is unlawful, however the opportunities of you getting arrested are no longer even on the threshold of a million%. yet I choose you do in basic terms purchase the apps on the AppStore or tweaks on cydia. I develope cydia tweaks and pirating hurts the builders and that is places a foul recognition on the Jailbreaking community.
