Dog whimpers, barks, then runs out of the house?
Sometimes my dog whimpers and makes squeaky noises, then she barks loudly and runs to the dog flap to go outside and bark at something. I'm guessing this is because she heard something outside and wants me to check it out. How do I train her to not bark, or at least to run outside herself without barking?
4 AnswersDogs1 decade agoAny good PC games that don't require high system requirements?
I have a laptop with an integrated graphics card (Intel GMA 4500MHD) and I can't run most new games without setting the graphics settings to "low". I'm tired of the lag and I don't know any good games where you don't need a freaking $1,000 rig to play it. Any suggestions?
4 AnswersPC1 decade agoBiology AP or Physics in High School?
I want to take at least 3 AP classes in high school next year, so I'm choosing English 3 AP, US History AP, and 3 other classes needed for graduation. I'm currently a Sophomore. I wanted to take Physics AP, but since I haven't taken Calculus yet, I can't take that class. So my only options are Biology AP and Physics. I kinda don't wanna take regular Physics because I want a better chance to go to a great college later on. I was thinking about this: taking regular Physics for junior year, then Physics B AP senior year while taking Pre-Calculus OR taking Biology AP for junior year, then Physics AP for senior year. I want to be a computer engineer after college, so is it better to take Physics than Biology AP? I can't decide...
1 AnswerPrimary & Secondary Education1 decade agoHelp with wet and dry dog food?
Since my dog doesn't like to eat dry food a lot, I mixed some wet food with the dry food, hoping that she'll eat it more. It turns out she only licks off the wet food and ignores the dry food. How can I get her to eat both?? Should I just stop giving her dry food and have her eat wet food all the time?
7 AnswersDogs1 decade agoAdding a IDE hard drive in this configuration?
I have a desktop PC and I want to add a second IDE drive to it. The primary hard drive is SATA connected. The DVD drive is connected to the master end of the IDE cable, with the slave end not connected. Do I connect the IDE drive to the slave end? And to what configuration (master/slave) should I set the jumpers on both the DVD drive and IDE drive once I have them connected?

5 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoHOME NETWORK HELP PLEASE?????
My uncle is trying to connect multiple devices to the internet by using 2 DSL modems, 1 wireless router, and 4 devices that let you use the electrical wiring in your house as a network (you plug in an ethernet cable from the modem or router into the device, plug the device into the wall socket, connect the ethernet cable from the device you want to connect to the internet to another of those plug-in devices, and plug that into the wall). The setup goes like this:
Scenario 1: He has a PS3 he wants to connect to the internet in the living room via ethernet. He uses 1 DSL modem and 1 wireless router to create a wireless network for his laptop. 1 ethernet cable coming from 1 of the 4 LAN ports on the router connects to one of those plug-in devices in a wall socket. The ethernet cable coming from the PS3 connects to another plug-in device that plugs into the wall socket. The PS3 and laptop are now connected to the internet.
Scenario 2: In his bedroom, he has a blu-ray player that he wants to connect to the internet via ethernet. He uses 1 DSL modem and 2 plug-in devices. 1 ethernet cable from the modem connects to 1 plug-in device in the wall socket. The ethernet cable coming from the blu-ray player connects to another plug-in device in the wall socket. The blu-ray player is now connected to the modem BUT NOT the internet.
Is this because he's using 2 modems when he should only be using 1? Is there a better way of doing this, because it's REALLY ticking both of us off right now. And I don't know WHY he can't just use a really long ethernet cable for the blu-ray player, he just doesn't want to.
2 AnswersComputer Networking1 decade agoOutdoor Christmas lights help!!!!?
Whenever I turn on the Christmas lights outside my house, they turn on for a fraction of a second and then turn off. Then the power to some parts of the house (in this case, the garage and some outlets upstairs) are shut off. It has been raining quite a bit lately, so is that the problem? The lights I'm using are outdoor lights.

I have one string of Christmas lights and when you plug them in, half the bulbs are lit while the other half aren't. I tried replacing the bulb right after the last lit one and replacing the fuses but it still doesn't work. How can I fix this?
2 AnswersChristmas1 decade agoRunning PC games off an external HDD?
My laptop's hard drive is starting to get full, so I was wondering about moving my PC games off my hard drive and onto an external hard drive. Will this cause a drop in performance for the game, such as a drop in frame rate and longer loading times? My laptop only has USB ports, so I can't use the faster eSATA drives.
