Any good PC games that don't require high system requirements?

I have a laptop with an integrated graphics card (Intel GMA 4500MHD) and I can't run most new games without setting the graphics settings to "low". I'm tired of the lag and I don't know any good games where you don't need a freaking $1,000 rig to play it. Any suggestions?

Update:

Please, no RPGs or MMORPGs and I own the Sims 3 already.

    crysis2 is not that high in requirements ;) (jokes)

    minecraft is a univerasal game for all. half life 1. half life 2. portal. project blackout is online but low system requirements.

    Depending on the type of games you like would change my answer but the sims 2 or 3 are good games you could pull off
