What is a good/free shopping cart to sell ebooks?
Hey,
I have a web site (Blue Hose) where I want to sell PDF files. What free shopping cart would be a good choice? I don't need anything too complicated, just take credit cards and Paypal, downloading the PDF.
I get along fairly well with computers but I don't have any experience with php, sql, etc.
Any suggestions?

I wold think twice before offering ebooks through Paypal. In their user agreement, under the seller protection policy, they state clearly that they only cover tangible items. Scammers all over the world know this. They buy intangible goods from uninformed paypal seller, then dispute the transaction through paypal and get their money back. Paypal will do nothing to prevent this. They give the money back to the buyer because you provide no hard proof (as far as paypal is concerned) that you delivered said goods to the buyer. They only cover tangible goods- goods which you can provide a shipping label for.
I am not sure which online payment platform you COULD use for intangible items such as ebook, but please know that paypal is NOT it.
Source(s): www.screw-paypal.com has a rundown of the user agreement for paypal and the seller and buyer protection policies. I have been scammed on playpal and through my thousands of hours reading other people's stories of how they got scammed, too, I've learned a thing or two and feel compelled to help other sellers before they, too, get cheated out of their money.
