Is it ok to eat brownies when you're sick?

I know that supposedly, chips and oranges are bad to eat when you're sick. Should I not be eating brownies when I'm down with a cold and a cough?

I really want the pick me up though, Betty Crocker style.

Oranges and chips aren't going to kill you, and neither will brownies. A lot of the weird foodstuff tips are just based in myth and not at all in science, or they're based in science but have no use because they're based only loosely. Such as saying a naturally occurring vitamin or chemical will hurt you when the name is similar but the two chemicals don't work the same. Or stating a chemical or vitamin found in a food will hurt you but not taking into account that you'd have to eat it by the gallon and concentrated lol!

Now, if you're allergic to chocolate, that's another thing ;)

Yes, brownies are fine with a cold. In fact, they contain iron and the chocolate contains anti-oxidants which will help you fight off that cold.

PS: Don't go to that site Jay linked it's gross.

Brownie eating wont affect your cold and your coughing.Only drinking very cold beverages or ice creams will affect you only because they are cold, not because of their contents.
