That is who i would like to see go on tour. Toeava can use next years Super15 to push for a spot if he has a blinder. Guys like SBW Fruean Slade Cruden Ranger need to have a real taste of international rugby, so they can go back to thier super teams next year with a good idea of the area's they need to improve and work on to push for World Cup spots. Guys like Messam Toeava McAlister have all shown what they can do it's time for the new guys to show there worth. If some fail then there is the cushion of experienced proven players to fall back on as a last resort.
This is for the Northern hemisphere tour, Not the World cup squad.
@ Taraboy Lol yeah i meant Sam Whitelock.
Crockett has been one of the best in the ITM cup upfront, Will be a good scrap between those 2. Toeava shud be left at home they know what he can bring and will not be a risk judging him from Super form. I see no point taking players that are not going to make the World cup squad just to cover for positions on this tour. Thompson and Read can both play 7 and to be honest there is no specialist 7 that deserves to go. Latimer is average and Braid has been aswell. Our foward pack is basically settled we dont need to experiment there. The biggest challengers are coming thru in the Backline. Slade SBW Fruean Ranger they all need to go to be given a taste it will only help them improve next season. Experienced guys can be picked on Super Form young guys need to be seen in the All Black squad, If not done now it will be too late after Super15 next year.

i think that your not that far off from the actual line up that would be chosen but we still have the super 15 to go through and who knows.. maybe someone else could be chosen! but overall i would not be surprised if you were 94.5% right.

Adam Whitelock will not go, not even playing for Canterbury. Unless your mixed up with Sam or George.
Wyatt Crockett will not tour either i think Jamie Mackintosh who is in outstanding form for the Stags will get a spot.
There also will be a specialist openside cover judging by Henry"s comments so either Braid or Lattimer.
I realise its hard to fit the midfielders in but numbers 21-25, five in total do not think they will take that many. You mention Toeava i think if his form is OK he will squeeze ahead of Fruean. I know i just said there was too many midfielders but he can cover every backline position from 12 out and even 10 at a pinch making him the ideal bench back reserve.

Who's the captain ?....only kidding !
Good selection maybe it is a good idea to blood Fruean and Sonny-Bill for the tour.
I know McAlister has had injury problems, but I think he has been a huge disappointment since returning home last year.
He has not really fired at ITM, Super rugby or AB level at all.

Not sure about Crockett but you've got it spot on with the other 29. Very sure that's the squad that will be picked.
