What SAT score should I get?

What SAT score should a person get if they just entered 9th grade? Because my dad said he'll be very angry at me if I don't come back with a 2000+. But that seems a little high to me.

You could get that score if you were like a super smart nerdy 9th grader, but a 2000+ is hard to get even for a junior or senior.

a 2000+ score is impressive for a junior or a senior taking the sat! That's too high. Not trying to say anything but chances are you won't score that high. You're only a freshman, it's veryy rare unless you've studied your butt off with sat prep books or something. The average is around 1300-1500 for a freshman. That what I was told.

It all depends on what you're capable of... if you're a genius, then this is totally possible. However, the average is about 400-500 per subject depending on the state. I think when I just entered 8th grade I somewhere around 1800-1900, but we're different people. All people test at different levels, so asking Yahoo answers probably isn't your best bet on how well you should do. Take some practice tests and then you can see what score to expect.

Your dad is full of BS. I got a 1564 and that was considered to be well above average. I was in the 11th grade. So you would come up with at least a 1300. That is considered avg
