Is there something wrong with my gums?
I was recently sick with some sort of sore throat thing, but also had headaches and chills, and little pus pockets on my tonsils (gross). I have been taking vitamin C, Ibuprofen, and zinc. I also have a wisdom tooth that just poked through the gums. Anyways whenever I brush or floss, my gums bleed in multiple places. They feel swollen as well. I brush twice a day, floss once or twice, and mouthwash twice. It has never bled (other than on occasion), now its an every day thing. I don't have gum disease or anything do I?

Hi, You seem to have problem with eruption of wisdom tooth when flap on the tooth is not properly recededcausing gum infection to flare beneath it. It is called Pericoronitis. This causes swollen and bleeding gums on erupting wisdom tooth even after good dental care. Or other possibility is gingivitis due to tonsillitis which could have aggravated the intra-oral bacteria flora to cause gum infections.

Yes I would deff say you have gingivitis. Get to the dent asap. Plus use a mouthwash made for gum disease. Also After flossing, take your tooth brush & pour some peroxide over it and brush your teeth with that .. it will help with the swelling .
