I used to work for PCH. I did customer service. I doubt this is legit. They would have received a registered letter going over the legal details and the payment options. (lump sum or getting a certain amount weekly)

They NEVER ask for your banking information. I suggest that your friend call their customer care centre and let them know. They keep track of scams. I used to get those kind of calls all the time.

Don't call the number they gave you because you'll just be talking to the scamers and they'll try to convince you that they're legit.

Its a scam. If they get the bank account number they will withdraw rather than add funds.

That sounds like a scam. If they ask for ANY money up front, then it IS a scam.

It's a scam. Don't give them any information. They are just identity thieves.

when they start asking for an account number or your atm card that's when you know it's a scam
