Why does Thomas Jones Have the starting job over Jamaal Charles?
Obviously Jamaal Charles has been doing better, but why Thomas Jones?

Unless Jones shocks me and plays like he did last week on a consistent basis I can't imagine he'll be the starter for much longer. He is a very dependable back and behind a good line can be productive, but he's not fast, shifty or physical. I wish I could tell you how many times I saw him get an easy 3 yards behind a big push and then just fall down on first contact.
My only concern with Charles is whether or not he can stay healthy. If he can, he will put up some very nice numbers.

The thing I heard was that there doing to Jamaal what they do for quarterbacks. They wanted to get a veteran to play in front of Charles to teach him and to learn from his mistakes. Don't worry though, Jamaal will be no doubt the starter in the next year or so.
