Help! I've lost my shortcut toolbar?
I don't know how I managed it, but somehow I've managed to switch off my shortcut toolbar on Microsoft Word 3, so that I can't do things like change font, correct errors with that handy little button which goes back a space, etc. etc. Can anyone please tell me in simple terms that even I can understand how to remedy this? It's still there, but it's turned into a ghostlike shadow of its former self.
My deep gratitude will go with the ten points.
bre's answer is far too cryptic for me. I need to have it spelt out, please!
Navarra, thanks to your advice I took a step in the right direction, but I still can't access my font, so I am stuck forever in Times New Roman of a particular font size.
The Phlebob: you're a genius! Thank you!

Assuming that by "Word 3" you mean "Word 2003", do this:
Right-click on any of the menus and click the Formatting toolbar.
Hope that helps.

I don't have MS Word 2003, and I rarely use my 2007 version. So, I don't have a clue how to solve you issue.
Here is a link from Microsoft Support for MS Word 2003. See if it helps you at all :

Go to where it says tools or Edit , go to the 'View' button press that look at the scroll down message , it might be a different title on your computer as I have linux
but its one of the buttons on the top black toolbar , scroll it down and it will say 'toolbars' 'status bar' or 'sidebar' you click on that and it will either bring it back or be a step towards it.
