When I turn my phone off it always turns itself back on right away?

I have a Samsung r430b cell phone, that is about a year and a half old.

Whenever I turn my phone off, after a second it turns itself back on. Even when it turns off automatically due to low battery, the phone keeps trying to turn itself back on. The only way to turn it off is to take the battery out, which I don't want to have to do.

Update:

A few days ago I got a bit of root beer spilled on my phone. I noticed right away, took the battery out, dried the surface off. It was not very wet, except the screen. I took it home and dried it out; I'm in a dorm and didn't have rice, but I used a 'packet' of baking soda to get the moisture out overnight. BTW no baking soda got in the phone.

The talk/send/on button was stuck as if pressed down, and kept calling people. I used a little bit of rubbing alcohol to clean it, as recommended, and that solved the problem. It was no longer stuck. Now, a few days later, this problem happens.

Also, the battery suddenly is down to a life of 10 hours, but takes like 2 hours to charge. I want to be able to turn it off to save battery, but I can't do that. I know I need to buy a new battery, but don't want to if my phone isn't working.

take the battery out to save the battery and dry any leftover rootbeer and then after a couple of days try putting it bak in agen - if it dusnt work then you will have to get it fixed - unless u dont mind taking the battery out every time u turn it off :)
