So I have to write an equation in slope intercept from from these two things. Can someone please explain this for me and even possibly give me a website that could help, please.

Write an equation in slope-intercept form for the line that contains the given point and parallel to the given line.

    y = -3x + 2 is already an equation in slope-intercept form. (-2,3) are coordinates of a point. Let's see if the point is on the line by inserting the values........

    3 = 6 + 2

    Nope - the point (-2,3) is not on the line y = -3x + 2
