Did I edit this photo too much?
I did a good deal of editing on this photo, but liked it when I was finished. Did I overdo it?
Thanks!

It's not so much that you over-edited as that you didn't go in the right directions while editing.
I can see that you maybe warmed the white-balance a little bit and then added a lot of saturation and maybe some contrast. What you need to work on here is balancing the exposure. Dodge the foreground area more to get it closer to the exposure of the sky; then see if you can recover some details in the blown highlights from the sky (the pure white areas). From there a little warming of the white balance would be in order if that's what you want, and maybe a curves adjustment to add contrast (not just the contrast slider though; it's very imprecise). The saturation should not need any changes.

No, not really. In fact, I think you could still retrieve the Before from the After if you no longer had the original through either Levels or Curves (though I haven't actually tried to verify this for myself on my computer).
Still, it's a good thing that you've held on to the original; it's a good habit to have (if your main hard drive gets filled up this way, offload some to a back-up drive). Sometimes in PSD documents I keep the original in a layer way at the bottom and a modified version on a higher layer.

You didn't overdo it but it would be awesome if you could create some depth to the photo and showoff the background with some highlighting.

Nope. In fact you gave it more life. But then it all depends on our own preferences. Some might not like it, while others love it. Perhaps you could tone down the orange a bit.
