Theoretical physics opinion question?

I am currently a 17 year old who in very interested in the field of theoretical physics. My idol is Stephen Hawking and I've already read A Brief History of Time and I'm 50 pages into The Grand Design. I have also read many other books by authors such as Bill Bryson. I have a 1270 SAT score (out of 1600) and I'm very good with numbers. I don't know why, but I've always been fascinated by the type of sciences that Stephen Hawking, Albert Einstein, and occasionally Michio Kaku are geniuses in. I'm not sure how far I would make it because I still feel like I am not smart enough. If there is anyone who is in this field, please let me know that you think and if it would be worthwhile to pursue this in life.

From having talked to a couple physicists (nobody famous), make sure it's really a calling. You will be giving up a substantial portion of your lifetime income as physicists work at universities and usually teach a lot.

You will constantly be working, especially if you take it to the PhD level.

Your SAT is largely immaterial as long as you fully understand math and are doing well in calculus. I would advise you to get a decent book on introductory quantum physics and see if you're still interested when you're done.

Don't let me scare you out of your interest, explore it. I've found it to be a life-long interest even though I'm not a professional and I've had to teach myself mathematics. I find it to be a fascinating insight into how the world works at the most basic level.

i assume, all in all, the full universe would to boot be made up of cheer power because of the fact of consistent cycles of bang and weigh down. How the smallest particle is geared up? i'm no longer possibly effective it is not a question of scales (perhaps limitless) observing the 2nd of the universe. i think of that if (perhaps while) we get to instruct string concept, we would discover smaller scale components of the strings themselves. If sooner or later we no longer right now attain the sting of the universe, we would discover it relatively is in straightforward terms an element of an more suitable gadget. Why no longer? the super ingredient approximately technological understanding is that it keeps bringing us human beings better means of living. The undesirable ingredient is that guy isn't all that a lot nicely worth of taking part in God as he's inherently self-unfavourable. :(
