  • Is President Obama a communist?

I am just looking for your opinion and solid facts to back up your opinion. Not just "he is because glenn beck told me so" or anything ridiculous like that. I am not asking this to ridicule or fight anyone, I would just like to know your opinions and why.

Sources of any information would be greatly appreciated.

  • Theoretical physics opinion question?

I am currently a 17 year old who in very interested in the field of theoretical physics. My idol is Stephen Hawking and I've already read A Brief History of Time and I'm 50 pages into The Grand Design. I have also read many other books by authors such as Bill Bryson. I have a 1270 SAT score (out of 1600) and I'm very good with numbers. I don't know why, but I've always been fascinated by the type of sciences that Stephen Hawking, Albert Einstein, and occasionally Michio Kaku are geniuses in. I'm not sure how far I would make it because I still feel like I am not smart enough. If there is anyone who is in this field, please let me know that you think and if it would be worthwhile to pursue this in life.

  • Can someone translate this latin?

  • Can people explain themselves?

ok, so i was just looking at another politcal question and i saw the quote "...obama destroying this once great country." This is not taken out of context, i just can't remember the first few words. How can people plausibly put blame on president obama for our country being destroyed by him? He was handed the largest recession since the Great Depression, he was given the country in the middle of a war, and bush added another $2.5 trillion to the federal deficit. Are people honestly this stupid that they can't see that we are still a strong country? Our country is too great to be taken down in a year.

  • How can people make any argument saying global warming/ climate change doesn't exist?

I have a friend who refuses to listen to facts that all point to climate change and global warming. I have shown her an article from noaa pointing out how the amount of carbon in the air has increased by 30% in the past 100 years or so and she says that the government runs noaa and it does not count as a reliable source of info. If you have the same opinion as her, can you please explain to me your view, because she is just not making any sense.

  • Why do people think that they can't believe in evolution?

Ok its been proven through so many different scientific tests that the world is not 6000 years old. And its pretty ovbious that not everything in the Bible is true. So why can't people believe in evolution? Is there some gigantic religion out there that i've never known about and that says you go to hell for believing in God and evolution?

Im go to Catholic high school and we are taught evolution, and I have studied the Bible. I have read in books that the pope accepts the theory of evolution, so why can't other people?
