What is the percentage of Americans that believe in Young Earth creationism?
This is creationism as it says in the Bible, and if you believe it, i dont care, just give me the facts, I dont care if you can only be saved through the bible, so leave your crazed religious views for other questions.

you will see that in the U.S. 44% are Young Earth Creationists. This boggles my mind. I would have guessed from personal experience that well under 10% believe such a thing.
Note to previous answer: a literal interpretation of The Bible does NOT necessarily lead to Young Earth Creationism. I'd guess that by far, the majority of Christians who insist on a literal interpretation of The Bible are NOT Young Earth Creationists. Young Earth Creationism demands not only a literal interpretation of The Bible, but a very *specific* and *unwarranted* literal interpretation of literally dozens of Biblical passages. I'd guess that most Bible literalists do not accept the Young Earth Creationist interpretation.
