As of 2004, 45% of Americans believed in "Young Earth Creationism."

Every poll is different but most come out as roughly 40-50% believe in literal Creation and about 20% believe in evolution by divine.

About 40% (that's the highest of any first world country apart from turkey) and this is even more laughable (or depressing) when put alongside the statistic of ~70% of republicans are creationists.
That's who vote for the republican party.
