Conception after depo stories needed here!?
Hi, I have asked this question and received a very reassuring response. I was wondering if more of the women who have conceived after stopping the depo BC could share their stories? This is a topic that we who have not conceived could use a TON of reassurance. Thank you in advance!

I was on the Depo shot off and on (mostly on) for 7 years. It is said it generally takes 12-18 months for most women to get pregnant after stopping the shot. I missed my August 2006 shot. Exactly one year later on August 13th, 2007, I found out I was 5 weeks pregnant!
I loved the Depo shot. I had no problems with it and I soooo loved not having to deal with my period!! I would get back on it in a heartbeat but right now, we are TTC so I don't really need to worry about it right now.

My husband and I had so much anxiety after a year and a half trying after getting off of the 2 years on and off of the Depo shot. I am finally 7 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. It took a long time we actually gave up, just stopped worrying about if it was ever going to happen for us and we got pregnant about 2 months later.

each lady and her physique is distinctive some are in a position to alter into pregnant precise away some are actually not, yet ultimately that's going to ensue. For me in my view i became into on Depo for 2 years I have been given off in June 2009 and it took me 15 months to get pregnant I have been given pg in Sept 2010. So it may take u it sluggish it may not attempt to not difficulty, basically because of the fact it hasn't got here approximately yet does not recommend that it is not gonna ensue. sturdy success and toddler dirt to u.

Ex-husband's new lady love became pregnant after about a year of having first taken the Depo--apparently the hormones "wore off".
Good luck to you!!!

well i was on the depo shot for 5 years. i started noticing bad side effects after 3 years of using it. i was having bladder problems, depression, bipolar disorder, migraines, complete loss of sex drive which has not come back, even though i didnt go get my shot in jan 2010 and still have not. i also was very moody and just snapped all the time. the loss of sex drive resulted in my fiance cheating on me and eventually i found out he was living a double life for more than a year and i left him. anyway i have been off the shot for 8 months and just found out i am 5 weeks pregnant. i consider myself very lucky. a friend of mine was on the shot for a year and has been off of it for almost 2 years. she has sex almost everyday without any type of protection and still cannot get pregnant. but i've heard theres an increased risk of miscarriages and problems after using the shot. if i would've known all this about the shot, i would've never used it
