Is there any relevance in-between Matthew 27:45 & Mark 15:33 with Psalm-22?

Could Psalm-22 be used as reference & might be considered a prophesy with regards to Jesus Christ?

I have this question because some have referred to Psalm-22 being a prophesy of Prophet Jesus crucifixion. (Link found below)

Whereas, reading out Psalm-22 from Gideon Bible, I found no future reference in fact this prayer of (prophet) King David explicitly refers to the God Almighty's mercy on his forefathers.. ... that is his ancestor prophets; Moses, Joseph, Jacob, Isaac, and of course the Prophet Abraham (peace be upon them all).

Please Note:

- Shall appreciate if some Christian cleric might respond !

- Shall appreciate if Jews may also clarify on this for they are custodians of Original Testament, anyway :)

It is not about Jesus as he was talking about his descendants which Jesus has none.See the end of the chapter:

31 And I will live for the LORD; my descendants will serve you.

Some of the prophecies are actually what could be termed 'dual meaning'. Thus a prophecy and admonishment to the king of Tyr is a reference to the devil. This Psalm 22 is a description regarding the crucifiction of Jesus Christ which was to come, but also a reference by David as you said.

Often that is the way of prophecies. What many do not realise is that they can very often refer to a direct incident that is taking place while metaphorically and symbolically refer to another thing.

Prophesy in the OT usually has double fulfillment. It is seen as fulfilled at least partially by events which reportedly happened a short time later, but then they are fulfilled entirely with Christ. Psalm 22 was recalled by Christ on the cross... it obviously had a great deal of significance. The fact that it was written a THOUSAND YEARS before Christ, yet accurately described His death (while describing what the David was feeling at the time he wrote it) speaks volumes. One would have to be blind not to see it.

Matthew 27:46 and Mark 15:34 “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

This is the beginning of Psalms 22, was Jesus beginning to recite the Psalms? or did the Psalms Prophesy that he would say it?

All of Psalms 22 says that he would be mocked and all of Matthew 27 and Mark 15 Tells us that Jesus was Mocked. Did all the People mock him because of Psalms 22? or did Psalms 22 prophesy that the people would mock him?

Psalms 22:7 Everyone who sees me mocks me. They sneer and shake their heads, saying,

8 “Is this the one who relies on the Lord? Then let the Lord save him! If the Lord loves him so much, let the Lord rescue him!”

Mark 15:30 Well then, save yourself and come down from the cross!”

31 The leading priests and teachers of religious law also mocked Jesus. “He saved others,” they scoffed, “but he can’t save himself!

32 Let this Messiah, this king of Israel, come down from the cross so we can see it and believe him!”

Psalms 22:16-14 My life is poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax, melting within me. My enemies surround me like a pack of dogs; an evil gang closes in on me. They have pierced my hands and feet.

Read the story of Jesus' crucifixion when he prayed in the garden drops of blood is what he sweated (this is due to a heart that is ruptured or about to rupture)"They pierced his hands and feet on the cross".and when they dropped the cross into the hole every bone was jarred from its socket (out of place).

Psalms 22:19 O Lord, do not stay away! You are my strength; come quickly to my aid!

20 Rescue me from a violent death; spare my precious life from these dogs.

21 Snatch me from the lions’ jaws, and from the horns of these wild oxen.

22 Then I will declare the wonder of your name to my brothers and sisters. I will praise you among all your people.

Jesus did not die from any of the things that was done to him, the Bible (the Word of God) tells us that he "gave up his spirit." before any of their harms could kill him...

Too many details in Psalms for it not to have been a prophecy concerning Jesus.

Consider that Jesus, while he was on the cross, was quoting from Psalm 22.

Did you know every verse in the Old Testament is in some way a prophecy that leads us to Christ?

Also the Gideon's Bible is a poor manipulated translation. People say its KJV but it isn't really, if you compare to another KJV there are many differences.
