Does "gender studies" cover anything besides feminism?

Not being a smart ***, but all I see are feminist questions and while I can't really think of other uses for this section that would not fit better in singles & dating, the fact that it is not called that makes me wonder. What else is this section used for to make it be called "gender studies" instead of "feminism"?

Update:

@No White Bread

What is a coco?

Update 2:

@Spanx for Men

I have to agree with the first two points. Plus, with a user name like "Spanx for Men" it is very hard to take your opinions as unbiased.

    Let's see... what have we got.

    1. Most come here to give completely one-sided opinions based on "statistics" and "logic".

    2. Plenty of emos come here to cry about their relationship problems. These include teens and trolls that make posts here without the slightest understanding of "Gender Studies". Most of them think it is about penises and vaginas and dating advice.

    3. Plenty of trolls that make fun of rape, beating up women, and say anything offensive for "shock" value. Also plenty of lazy *** trolls that keep posting the same crap weeks on end.

    4. Plenty of women that hate men.

    5. Plenty of men that hate women.

    6. This section is a joke - no, really, if you're not here just for a few good laughs, you might end up traumatized at the stupidity of what some people say here.

    No, of course not, but it benefits feminists in a few ways to put forth that notion. By claiming they speak for all women, they appear to be bigger than they are and have support that in fact they do not have. It also serves to divide those who are against feminism, by getting some males to equate all women with feminists, when in fact many women disagree with feminism. ~

    Gender Studies has been defined by feminists so traditionally it covers issues only from a feminist perspective. This is why so much of gender studies is one sided and sexist, despite 'gender studies' sounding pretty neutral.

    The good news is that at least now there is a new discipline called Male Studies which seeks to fill in the gaps and correct the mistakes made by feminists http://www.malestudies.org/

    It is supposed to cover all of gender studies including men studies. The problem is not the study but this forum. Gender studies is a very good class to take in college and school, but people often get it mixed up such as here on this forum.

    It is what this forum has become. But this is not what gender studies is supposed to be.

    Occasionally there will be questions about crossdressing, sex changes, and so forth. But those are usually in LGBT. It's pretty much just feminism and abortion around here.

    no mate

    and we tend to get attacked when we raise this question -

    it should be called women studies - but then that would be wrong & I'm sure some man hating nut-case will be able to tell me why

    Most truthful comment I've heard in a while.

    Not always. There's a woman here complaining everyone is racist against her while calling biracial kids brats.

    I've asked similar questions before.

    Like why don't men highlight mens issues instead of attacking feminists?

    Its getting old.
