If you mean by the "USA", the people in charge, they are not keen to clean up either.
Really! The BP clean up is all show.
Ok, here's the facts. There is a product that "eats" oil. The US has used it for decades. It consumes the oil and turns it into something organic that is actually pretty good for the ocean.
They didn't use it this time. It was not ALLOWED to be used. Why?
Answer that question and you might have a grasp of the situation.
Actually, it's the very same answer as the Laos question ( that's a hint ).
Source(s): Pat Flanigan, one of America's top scientist and recent Nobel Prize nominee, talked about it. Then I heard the head guy who was in charge of dispursing the "oil eaters" saying that he could not understand why he was not ALLOWED to use it, even though the state governments wanted it used. He made the comment on the News that it seemed as if the people "in charge" didn't WANT it cleaned up. Then they turn around and use very deadly chemicals on the spill, which really made it 100 times worse. Now WHY would they do that? - MeLv 71 decade ago
Oh what about Bophal? They never cleaned that up either. The United States, and companies owned in the USA are do not feel they have any responsibility to clean their messes up.
