How do you pronounce the name Linnet?

Its not french its a name of a bird ( Linnet Bird), just like Robin.

To the best of my knowledge there are two pronouncations for this name.

The English (including American English) is the same as Lynette.

The second version is French (including Canadian Quebec). It is pronounced as Lynn - ae. The t is silent.

I would pronounce it LINNet (not like Lynette. More rhyming with "win it")

It's French. The "et" turns into an A sound. Lin-nay. It's one of my good friends names. Drives her crazy when ppl pernounce it Lin-nette ;)
