  • Question about hyperventilation...?

I do have bad anxiety and depression. Sunday night I had really bad anxiety and/or panic attacks. The following day I didn't feel anxious, but I hyperventilated for about 5-6 hours. I've hyperventilated before when I've cried really hard, but when I was hyperventilating on Monday, I wasn't crying or freaking out in any way, I just felt unwell/fatigued. I talked to my doctor and he said it was an anxiety attack. But I didn't feel anxious when it was happening, like I mentioned just sick and very fatigued. Has anyone else experienced something like this? It was the first time I've ever hyperventilated without crying.

  • I need help finding a New Testament verse...? :)?

It's too early for me to think. I know there's a verse in the New Testament that, in different wording, says if you know something is wrong, and you act as if someone is ok by doing it, then it's sin. Does anyone have any idea what verse I'm referring to?

  • My 1 year old has a fever...?

Little guy's had an upset tummy all week, an ear ache for two days, and a fever for three days. It was 102 the first day, 102-103 the second day, and it's reached over 104 a few times today. Aside from being a bit more snuggly than normal, he's acting normal, breathing fine, eating fine, drinking fine. He's definitely got a cold, but the only serious symptom seems to be the fever. We've given him Motrin twice today and Tylenol once, and the lowest the fever's gotten is 101.5. Should we wait it out til tomorrow to see if it goes away? What would you do if it was your child? (21 months)

  • Is my son delayed?

My 12 m/o pulled himself up and was able to stand on his own at an early age (8 months), but he hasn't advanced at all since then. He can walk some while holding onto things, but he has zero interest in walking, even if we hold onto his hands. Should I be concerned?

  • Can you help diagnose me?

I've either woken up with an impossibly painful UTI, or maybe I have something more? :(

Frequent urination that's excruciatingly painful, also a constant feeling that I need to urinate and have a BM, some blood in urine & stool, a bit of pain in my back, pain right at the bottom of the right side of my rib cage, I don't think I have a fever but it's hard to tell since it's really hot here haha. WDYT?

  • What happens if you don't enter REM sleep?

I've discovered that there's a good chance that I don't enter REM sleep. I haven't been able to find much about causes and a name for someone who doesn't enter REM sleep, but I have found symptoms of it and I fit them to a T. I had a sleep study done 7 years ago (I was still in my early teens) and found out that my parents had never gotten the results of them, and I managed to find them and the results showed that I didn't enter REM sleep.

Does anyone know where to find info on any of this? Thank you.

  • Question about weight as a teenager....?

Okay so this is very random...I'm up late and can't sleep and my thoughts are wandering and this is where they landed lol.

ANYWAY: when I was young, I was done growing by age 13. So all four years of high school I was 5'9. However, in high school, I weighed anywhere between 110-125 lbs (I ate a ton and never had any type of eating problems at all). I'm a healthy weight NOW, but when I think back to it, I was at the doctors a lot in high school (sinus/allergy problems, plus depression), and not once did any doctor ever voice any concern about me being underweight. Everywhere I see now seems to say that about 135-165 is a healthy weight for my height, so why would they have not mentioned that?

Not necessarily important, I'm just confused is all.. Thank you.

  • Could you answer my question about Iowa foster care rules?

I've had my foster child's worker tell me that we shouldn't be calling him by a new name. I'm totally fine with not calling him by a new name if she suggests not to, but I was wondering, does anyone know if it's an actual RULE in Iowa with foster care to not call them by a new name? I tried looking through my handbook but it's so confusing I wasn't able to find somewhere where it would have been addressed.

I'm NOT looking for opinions on foster or adoptive children's names, I would just like to know if it's addressed in the rules. Thank you.

  • Should I take my baby/babies to the hospital?

It's Sunday and there's only one clinic opened and they don't take title 19 which my babies are on since they're foster.

My 5 w/o has a fever of 99.3 taken axillary, has had some diarrhea over about a week, is spitting up a bit more than usual, and is a bit more tired than usual. He was last seen about 2 weeks ago since he had bleeding on his bottom but none of his other symptoms were going on at the time. He is eating fine and doesn't seem to be losing weight.

My 5 m/o doesn't have a fever, but has now had diarrhea for about two weeks with most bottles, is spitting up worse than usual, and is more tired than usual. He too is eating fine and doesn't seem to be losing weight. I had him at the doctor's appointment two weeks ago with the other one since he'd been having diarrhea for a few days and the doctor at the time just said push liquids which we've been doing.

The clinic I tried to take them to told me to take them to the hospital, but I'm not sure if I'd consider it an emergency enough to take the time to go all the way to the hospital with two young babies haha. Any thoughts or suggestions?

  • Could you help answer a question about my 5 w/o's development?

I have two foster babies right now. One is 5 weeks old, and the other will be 5 months in a couple of days.

Despite their mothers' rough history, they both seem to be totally healthy, praise God! However I do have a bit of concern for the 5 w/o. Our older one was 7 weeks when we first got him. Now he has always been generally advanced in most areas, so maybe that's my problem is that I'm comparing them when I shouldn't be. But at 7 weeks, our first one smiled all the time, was chatting with us, and giving us direct eye contact a lot. I know 2 weeks can make a big difference in a newborn, but our 5 w/o has only smiled maybe 3-4 times so far, and never seems to be able to hold eye contact. In fact, if I catch him looking at my face and start to talk to him, he very clearly looks a different direction on purpose.

Do you think he's still on track developmentally? I'm just a teensy bit paranoid after four years of working with special needs students, in particular autistic children, and I know that signs don't show up that early, but I thought I'd see what others opinions are. Thank you. :)

  • Do I have an allergy to meds?

I just had Nasonex prescribed to me and it really hurt my sinuses when I used it. Then when I started thinking about it, I realized I had the same type of pain when I used Afrin last fall, and I had the same type of pain but a lot worse when I got a chemical caudery treatment done a year ago (the dumb ENT tried to tell me I was having a migraine, which I'd never had before, but I know it was from the treatment). Would there be something that would be in all three of those things I could be allergic to? Thank you!

  • Have you seen the movie the Haunting?

The content advisory says there's a scene where a bisexual woman tries to seduce another woman. What exactly happens? I rented it but I wouldn't want some of the people with me to see that,
