What paint can i use to paint my stove top?
I just moved to this apartment and the stove has like dried up grease that can't be cleaned. I have tried everything. Is there a black paint that I can paint the stove top that can withstand the heat of when i cook... I would like for it to look brand new.

I'd advise against it. Not only would it look like crap, but your landlord probably wouldn't appreciate you painting his stove top.
I don't know of any stove top that isn't enamel. This is very durable stuff, but can be chipped if hit very hard. They do make enamel repair kits, but this is only for the chips and wouldn't work to do the entire surface. There's no reason that you can't get the grease off the stove top. Again, enamel is tough stuff and can be scraped and scoured hard without damaging the surface. Buy some Bar Keepers Friend and clean the stove.

If the grease has dimension (is thick), its raised surface will show after painting, of course. Have you tried Krud Kutter to remove it? Another possibility is to wet thoroughly a cloth or sponge with pure ammonia and let it sit on the area for a half hour before scrubbing with a Dobie or other plastic scrubby or using a narrow paint scraper. There are spray paints made especially for appliances. Get one made for stoves so it can stand up to the heat.

Paint will not adhere to grease. You may want to somehow heat the grease to soften it in order to scrape it off. Painting over it will just fail in due time and your landlord may not appreciate what you have done to his stove appliance. Kaboom puts out a great degreaser. You may have to allow it to soak over night (saturated paper towels topped with saran wrap, so the cleaner does not dry) before you begin scraping off the built up grease with a steel wool pad.
I have used heat paint on wood stoves which have a dull finish, so it will not work on a cooking stove. I also once painted a fridge with epoxy appliance paint in a spray. Perhaps that would work after you scrape the paint off if scratch marks are left behind or if the finish is dull

Yes, they make spray on enamels for stoves and kitchen appliances. The hardware store should carry it. The existing paint has to be completely clean and the shine roughed off with steel wool before painting. Use primer first, then paint.

Just use oven cleaner on the top. Gone in 20 minutes.
Or make the landlord clean it. It should have been cleaned when you took possession.
