What's the Best Halo: Reach Multiplayer Strategy?
I bought Halo: Reach last week. The multiplayer is much more challenging than the former. It seems to me like the only way to score points is to pair up with someone in team slayer and roll together the entire time. The main weapon (the full auto spartan one) just seems weak compared to Halo 3's. Is that the best way to go about it?
Also, im wondering about the DMR. Is it better to aim for the chest until the shield is gone, then aim at the head? How can you tell when the have no more shield?

Communication and sticking together are key. If you go off by yourself just to find weapons and power-ups, you will die. However, if you guys move as a team, they won't be able to simply take you down one at a time as they will usually aim at different people; whereas you are all shooting at one or two people. Don't sit in one place, which would be considered camping. That's what rocket launchers and snipers are made for, and it's frowned upon. Keep it mobile and you will get more kills and it will be more fun.

For FFA games don't run around the map like an idiot, hang back a bit and find a spot where you can see the majority of the map, and DON'T make yourself stand out, only shoot at people when you are sure you can get them and try to get a lot of clean up kills, usually in a fight one guy comes out with no shields, get him.
With teams games, find a place on the map and set up, know when and where the power weapons spawn (rockets, snipe) and have someone that will go for ONE thing, nothing worse than having two people run to pick up the same thing. If you don't like sitting back in a set up then move around in teams of 2 and try not to bunch up with each other as you will make a good target for rockets/grenades.
As for the DMR, yes it is better to aim at the chest then head, when i played halo CE my clan leader (i wasn't the best) told me to aim for the body then the head and i became a much better player. It's the same in Reach and the body is A LOT easier to hit so go for their bodies then when you see a bright yellow flash from their armour aim for the head, and usually the DMR is a 5 shot kill so thats 4 shots to deplete the shields and 1 to the head for a kill.
One last tip, for the bigger maps at a distance LEAD your shots that means aim ahead of the target.

DMR Should be aimed for the head and you will see like an electric blast of an opponent when there sheilds are gone

the best way to go in and play is to go in together.the bad part of the game is the friendly fire system. you shoot your buddy and he has the option of kicking you. it happened to me twice already and i had great scores.
