Do the Catholic countries have laws for punishment for crimes such as murder, theft, create calamities etc?
If Jesus died on the cross as the Christians believe, for humans' crimes, there is no necessity to adapt laws to find fault and punish the culprits accordingly.
If we punish the culprits for sins, its against the belief and religious theory.
And we will be punished by god for ignoring the teachings of Jesus.

All countries have laws for punishment of crimes.
How do you define a Catholic or Christian nation?
I don't think we should describe countries as Catholic or non-Catholic or Christian or non-Christian.
Reasons:
- Christianity transcends nationality.
- Is everyone a Christian in a Christian country? Probably not.
- Does the Christian country only have laws based on Christianity? Probably not.
- I believe in freedom of religion. There would not be freedom of religion in a Christian country.
Can you name one country that is truly Christian (not counting Vatican City)?
With love in Christ.

No, the Catholic Church is not a political leader or maker of laws for society. The Catholic Church is a religion.

You're unaware that every nation on the planet has laws that include punishment for those acts? How is that unawareness possible in someone over the age of 7?

Every country has laws. Whether those laws are just or rational is a matter of substantial debate, but every country has them all the same.
