Could I have an unbiased comparison between the Nintendo Wii, the Sony PlayStation 3, and the Xbox 360?

I believe it all comes down to the games you like.

If you want franchises such as Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Donkey Kong, Pokemon, etc then get a Wii. If games like Halo or Gears of War interest you, then get an Xbox 360. If you want to play games such as God of War or Metal Gear Solid 3, then PlayStation 3 is your choice.

Ask yourself this. What genres (types) of games do you enjoy? Are you a big fan of shooting games? Is online gaming very important to you? Is having the best graphics possible a requirement to enjoy a game?

If you want a high definition graphics, and a great online gaming service, then go with PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. If you are a big fan of Nintendo franchises, and graphics don't change how you view games, then Wii is the way to go.

No matter what comparisons there are, the types of games you enjoy (racing, sports, action, adventure, RPG) should decide what system you get.

I liked the wii but there were no games that I liked

both xbox and ps3 have better graphics

kinetic for the box will be £150 move is £50 both will be better than original wii not sure about the add on for wii as not used

xbox live is better than playstation there is always more people on line but they are normally better players also I used to get slaughtered on live but I sometimes rank no 1 on play station

loading screens are every where on ps every game you put in has an update and then either needs to install or takes ages loading

ps games now eg mafia 2 have extra content as xbox dvd discs can't hold as much

no batteries in ps3 the pads charge and charge lasts age

no online charges

ps is wireless out the box

so ps3 costs more but saves you a fortune over a year or 2

just discovered I can download a movie and immediately stream even in avi wirelessly from pc to ps3 which is in a different room and watch it top quality

also ps3 has an internet browser you can go on google and watch porn and no one knows

Get ready for a long answer:

Wii:

Pros: - Family fun

- The Mario games are epic, nobody can really deny it.

- Generally more acessable for the non-gamer

-The cheapest

Cons: - Graphically lacking in comparison to the other two consoles.

- Awful online (Free though) - Basically there is no friend system.

- Most devolpers use the wii as an exuse to realease god awful games.

PS3:

Pros: - The best "Potential" hardware (Aka. it may not be the best, but as the devolpers get better, so will the console.

- Free, good online.

- Very good exclusives (Aka uncharted, resistance, ratchet and clank, gran turismo 5, demon's souls).

- The controller is alot easier to use.

Cons: - Expensive! >___<

- Inferior online compared to the xbox.

- The controllers are easily breakable in my opinion.

Xbox 360:

Pros: - The best hardware (So far)

- Good online (With many famous youtube players (Hutch, Seananners etc))

- Good exclusives (Halo, Forza etc)

Cons: - You have to pay for online.

- Before you can go online you have to pay £30 plus for an adapter

- The controller is confusing to a non-gamer.

Winner IMO - PS3, although they are all fun and i'd reccomend any one of them.
