    Alcohol is banned. Does that mean that people never find a way, nope. But they sure as heck better not get caught.

    Ok, Tankers wife is VERY much incorrect. This is why shes a wife, and not actually in the military.

    Alcohol is NOT banned in combat zones. In places like UAE, Kuwait, Djibouti, and Qatar, you receive Hostile Fire Pay and they are considered combat zones - set forth by the SECDEF and CETCOM CC. In those places you are allowed up to three drinks per day when deployed there.

    However, in AFG and Iraq you are not allowed to drink while in the US Military. Other countries such as Australia and the Brits do allow their members to drink.

    Most likely, some of them are drinking a little, but legally, they are(or were back in the day) under orders not to(general order #1). Whether or not the order is enforced, and to what extent it is enforced, is going to be determined by unit leadership.

    Not in the open if they are smart and know some Iraqis that carry some on their trucks...nothing like Captain Black on a cold Iraqi day lol

    ok, seriously if you were in Afghanistan or Iraq, killing people and doing everything else that they do don't you think you would be drinking to.
