Why did we gain 67, 000 private jobs in August?
"Govern-
ment employment fell by 121,000, reflecting the departure of 114,000 temporary
Census 2010 workers from federal government payrolls. Total private employment
continued to trend up modestly over the month (+67,000)."
I know it's not enough to keep up with demand, but I'm posting this because a lot of Republican sheeples keep claiming that the government created those jobs when in fact it was the private sector. In fact, the month of August saw over 100, 000 temporary census jobs lost.
So the fact is that the private sector is hiring again, but very modestly.
Please Republicans, learn to get your facts straight and turn off the right-wing propaganda that is feeding you lies on a daily basis.

Unfortunately, over 100,000 new jobs are needed monthly to keep up with the constant increase in workers entering the workforce.
So, 67,000 new jobs actually represents an INCREASE in unemployment because the number of workers increased more than that over the same time period.
Just thought you might like to understand the truth of employment numbers.

Apparently it's within the aberration of seasonal adjustment. It's DOWN 183,000 jobs from LAST August - which all/only Democrats say is good news.

67,000 jobs is a drop in the bucket, compared to the millions already lost under Obama
and each one of those low paying jobs cost over $300,000 to "create"
and they will be G O N E when the money runs out

Yeah! What was the cost per job? Let's see......$860 billion dollars, divided by jobs "created", equals what?
Does that sound like a good deal to you?
I will get excited when that number exceeds 200,000 for 6 months straight.

Because employers are feeling empowered by the numbers, which show the GOP is going to turn this sh!t around in a big way come November.

We've lost over 300,000 jobs during the "summer of recovery" at the cost of hundreds of billions of dollars.
Unemployment will continue to go higher.

christmas season i would guess. we need to have over 100,000 jobs added each month to account for new employees.
