Can I have 3 passports?

I have an american and brazilian passport and most of my life i have moved between america and brazil. I have been going to boarding school in switzerland for about a year (im in 10th grade) and I will be continuing for 2 more years. I plan on studying somewhere in Europe for college. I go to an international school. but i speak German, English, Spanish, French and Portuguese, so I could live in any countries that speak these language without trouble. My question is could i optain lets say a german, swiss, or austrian passport if i live in any of those countries many years while studying. If i stay in switzerland until the end of college i could be here for seven years... i might transfer to another school in germany next year. 
My grandparents were all born in germany and some in austria, but i dont think that matters. Both my parents are brazilian.

I am pretty certain that you have to have citizenship in a country to get a passport from there.  It doesn't have anything to do with how long you live there.  And you might have to give up your citizenship in one country to take citizenship in another one.
