Alice in The Asylum Party Theme?

So, I'm kinda notorious for having Wonderland themed parties and the week before Halloween I'm taking it up a notch and having a Halloween Party: Asylum Tea Party style. It will also be a normal Halloween party with costume contests, movies and candy but I want it to give off the general air of Wonderland meets sanitarium. So far I'm going to put up white sheets/blankets in some rooms for the white wall effect (possibly with some blood splatters) Possibly buying a scary rabbit mask to greet people in (http://www.costumeexpress.com/Wicked-Wonderland-White-Rabbit-Mask-Adult/68541/ProductDetail.aspx).

Any other ideas? Also, I already used facebook to invite people but can I still send out real paper invites?

I say you can still send out real invites. I'm a big supporter of the dying art of postal mail though. ;) It's just nice to receive something other than bills sometimes. 

The first thing that came to my mind is to send people invitations in the style of involuntary mental hospital admission forms. See example of a real form here:

It would be like: Application to facility name: Your house your address etc. 
I hereby apply for admission of (name of patient): (your friends name)
For symptoms and behavior you could put like psychotic delusions. Patient talks of talking rabbits and disappearing cats etc...

Make cookies that say "Eat Me" Maybe not as cutesy as these:

Make drink me tags or labels to put on the cups.

Be cute if you made/bought a "straight jacket" to wear along with that creepy but awesome rabbit mask.

Decorate with large playing cards, chess pieces. Melted clocks. You could probably print some images up on card stock and cut em out and hang on the wall as is. Or buy a cheap clock and replace the head with this image:

Have a few doctory stuff. Like one of those red coolers. Paint the little "medical" cross on it
