Airport Customs: What happens to the stuff customs confiscates?

A friend of mine bought me a very large bottle of Grand Marnier. He brought it from the US to South Korea, and they TOOK it!

Is there ANY way I can get it back? What do they DO with it? They said he was over the limit. If I'd been there I woulda said, "Gotcha - go ahead and pull up a glass and we'll get it back down."

I want it back. Where does all this stuff go?

"and they TOOK it!" zomg wtf?!?!?!

Yeah, he was over the limit. Too bad, them's the rules.

    What they seize is destroyed.

You mean of the stuff that they don't steal.

Some of it goes to an auction of seized goods and some gets destroyed.

As for being over the limit, I think he tried to sneak it in because in reality there is no limit. If he declared it and paid the duty on it, he could have kept it. But if you try to sneak it in and it is found, you lose it.

Most of the stuff that the customs confiscate usually go to their warehouse where they can be claimed by the one who carried them since your item in this case only when over its alloted limit, you can still claim it back. You will have to pay a small fine though.

the girl above me has spoke back all of it. The canines will sniff it out in case you're waiting in line and your mothers and fathers will get carry of an excellent. in case you're in Bali, purchase a %. or 2 and smoke them in case you're over there. regrettably there could be no thank you to hold them back to Australia in case you're below 18.
