My BACK and FORWARD buttons are disabled on my Mozilla browser?

I have reinstalled from scratch and continue to have the same issue

Update:

Thanks ClaireCross. But that didn't work. There were no back and forward buttons as an option. And also, the buttons ARE where they are supposed to be, they are just greyed out and cannot be clicked.

    try right-clicking in an empty space on the bar, selecting «Customize», and then dragging the arrows from the «Customise Toolbar» window that then opens and dropping them in an appropriate postion on the navigation bar. Report back and let us know if this helps !.
