Can a mother be friends with her teenage daughter?

    Depends. As long as she is guiding her properly and applying discipline when needed. A teen needs a parent more than she needs that parent to be a friend. Since teens hate discipline the friend thing usually does not work too well. However some parents do not want to parent so they try to be the friend. I don't think it is good for the teen.

    Why..............does she also want to behave like a teenager.....................not really a good idea.

    A mother needs to be close, to her daughter, but NOT her friend.

    Mother is the best friend to her daughter.

    She too has crossed her teen age.

    yes, but she must also be a mother. i am friends with my children, as well as being their mama.

    Why not . Even my mom is friend with my friends . She guide us better than others.
