A CPA is a professional certification earned after college, not a degree. A four-year degree is necessary in many states.

CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is not a degree. It's a certification you earn by passing an exam. After you finish your four-year (Bachelor's) degree in Accounting, you will be eligible to take the CPA exam.

A CPA, or "Certified Public Accountant," receives their "certification" from the state in which they live AFTER receiving their 4yr university degree in "Accounting" so as to be eligible for certification.

Unless you aspire to being a professional student, you should get a job. Try building your Resume by working for a top agency first.
