What to do in Chicago?

My kids (boy 14, girl 7) are taking the train to grandma's over Christmas. We change trains in Chicago, get in at 9AM on Tuesday the 21th, leave at 2PM Wed the 22. What would be a good thing to do with the kids over that time?

Museum of Science and Industry, without a doubt. We're a museum town, and that's the one most geared towards kids. Lots of interactive exhibits, etc.

And, although I hate the place with the burning passion of a thousand exploding suns, Navy Pier. Again, quite a few child-centric things to do, only they won't learn as much, and you'll lighten your wallet on all the overpriced food and souvenir junk.

I'd recommend the zoo, but seeing as you'll be here in the dead of winter...

My kids and I went to Chicago this summer and we went to all the good attraction spots..and the one thing they keep talking about 3 months later is the deep dish pizza at Giordanos. There are at least 2 locations in downtown Chicago, the wait was a little long, but this was in the peak summer season. They get busy(ive been a few times)but they have a very good system where you order the food before you get seated so by the time you get to the table its almost ready.I would recommmend the Museum of Science and industry too..it was awesome! Also downtown chicago has great shopping(I.E..Disney Store)and so much more!Another great idea is a trip to the top of the Willis Tower, great experience and views!(check to see availability in the winter months).Take a drive down Lakeshore Drive,my kids were impressed by the views, and even in winter the view is nice.Have fun, Chicago is a great city:)

Navy Pier has lots of shops and a children's museum and the Winter Wonder fest should be going on, Michigan Ave has loads of retail shopping including, Art museum, Shedd Aquarium, Bears football stadium, the Field museum and Millenium Park w/ ice skating rink are all downtown Chicago. One bus can get you to the museum of Science and Industry.
