What is a good name for a fictional small town in South Dakota?

I'm writing a story, and I was just looking for ideas for the name of my town. It takes place in the later years of the 1800's (during the Black Hills gold rush). I would much prefer to go with my own fictional town (which gives me a lot more creativity).

I was thinking the town would most likely be named after a founder. So it could also work as a last name as well.

Any suggestions?

I've been to the Dakotas and Absolutely love the Black Hills, Ive been to Deadwood and lost money there gambling(don't gamble there;its bad luck), I also checked out the Crazy Horse memorial and the Custer Zoo.

I actually researched this a little for you, of the many tribes in the area at the time. I believe some were Arapaho, Cheyenne and Arikara. Why not name a town from their language, which I'm sure there are quite a few of the like in that region.I'm also sure that there were more than three tribes in that region.

    1)Akichita, South Dakota

Akíčhita (Warrior) societies existed to train warriors, hunters, and to police the community.[7] There were many smaller Akíčhita societies, including the Kit-Fox, Strong Heart, Elk, and so on.[7]

The rest are from a Lakota online textbook site

    2)Othehi, SD

    means trouble

    3)Wicakha, SD

    means to speak the truth

"During the Treaty of Fort Laramie, in 1851, traditional territory claims were laid out for several Native American tribes, including the Lakota Sioux, and as a result, the Black Hills of South Dakota became the center of the Great Sioux Nation. As part of the treaty, the tribes guaranteed safe passage for settlers in exchange for an annuity and permission to build roads and forts on their lands. "

Since your story is going to be fictional anyhow, why not have a town where whites and Natives actually got along, somewhat.

    Some fictitious names, huh?

    How about,

"Tolman's Gulch, SD", founder: Brett Tolman

    or

"McIntyre's Rocks, SD", founder: Jack McIntyre

"Gleason, SD", founder: Mortimer, "Mort" Gleason

Obviously, feel free to mix and match to suit your taste.
