    Given his stellar defense and likely gold glove this year, and given that many other key players on his team have struggled this season while the team itself is competing for the best record in baseball, I think Cano deserves it. He hasn't been the best hitter this year (though he's certainly in the top 3 or 4), but he's been the most valuable all around.
