when is comcast's digital conversion going to happen in twin cities MN?
I get basic free antenna service at my home and see rolling message at top of screen that if I can see this message then will lose free tv once comcast competes their digital upgrade. But doesn't say exactly when this will happen. Also doesn't seem to make sense to buy a digital converter box if I just want free tv so looking into other options (ie. c band satellite, digital antenna) anyone have any input on either of these other options or when Comcast final digital upgrade is happening. Ten points to most helpful answer.

If you have Comcast service, you can still get Basic cable, you just need a Digital Terminal Adapter (or DTA). These are normally offered free for the first two TVs, then 1.99 after that and are easy to hook up (or a technician can come to do so).
If you have no cable service and operate solely off an antenna, you should have already lost analog tv service. If not, and you do, then you can get a digital antenna from any electronics store (Radio Shack, Walmart, Best Buy, etc.). Your reception may not be great, but you will still get free tv.
