If I am 15 where can I get a job?

I live in Illinois, so i don't know where I can get a job. :( It would be an after school job, something easy not time consuming, just to have a few extra bucks

At fifteen, unfortunately you don't have many choices in actual jobs.

Most places like restaurants require you to be at least 16 or 18 because of the child labor laws, and because of the heavy equipment you may be required to use on the job.

(I know at Wal-Mart you have to be 16 before you can work, and the only two jobs you can have are cart pusher or cashier.)

The library is a good source, you can try there, but I believe now-a-days you have to be trained specifically for it, or you can volunteer (no money but would look good on a college resume one day soon)

It does sound like your best bet is something one of the others mentioned. Jobs that wouldn't be too hard on you, or wouldn't take too much of your time are a lot of jobs you establish yourself. Walking the neighbors dog, baby sitting (on this a thought accord to me that you might be able to try some child care places if you like children.), etc.

First, you would need to make sure you have reliable transportation (a parent or friend to drop you off/pick you up) Then, you can apply for all sorts of different entry-level positions. Ex: Petsmart, fast-food chain restaurants, grocery stores (bagger or cashier), house keeper/cleaner, babysitter, dog-walker, etc
