Of course they are public toilets. The U.S. government wants workers, not thinkers, which explains why the Education system is so crappy. Best thing to do , if you can swing it , is take your kids out of the system and home school them.

    Well, now...let's see...

Public toilets are open to everyone and are places provided in order to eliminate waste and restore balance. I'll go along with that.

The secret agenda for the right-wing Republican CULT-evangelicals (emphasis on the word CULT here) is to demonize our public school system in people's minds in order to push both privatization (as in the type of for-profit the corporate raiders can push into ruin) and the complete breakdown of our Constitution's separation of church and state.

Under the GOP totalitarian years, this deliberate assault on our public school system was more COVERT, with religious freaks and fanatics running for local school boards (Goldberg, 2006) as part of the whole THEOCRATIC COUP effort uncovered by both Goldberg and Sharlet, who went undercover inside the right-wing GOP's Washington-based cult, The Family.

By and large, our public schools (although GOP'ed into disrepair and subpar standards as the war between religion and science was played out from 2001 through 2007) have the potential to be the BEST educational system in the entire world. DEMOCRATS under President Obama's wise leadership (and his Secretary of Education Arne Duncan's planning) have already begun to RESTORE what the Republicans destroyed. Our public school system IS NOT really comparable to public toilets, although the religious nuts in control of the Republicans might want to create that false impression so that they can "gain a foothold" through sitting on school boards to cramming their grotesque "religious" fanaticism down our collective throats (perhaps pun intended---especially for the teabagging evangelicals among them). I have confidence in Democrats to fix what the GOP damaged, and I believe in President Obama's vision in terms of educational goals.

    When I think back

On all the crap I learned in high school

    It's a wonder

    I can think at all

And though my lack of education

    Hasn't hurt me none

I can read the writing on the wall

No, I judge by the school. However, in general, they desperately need improvement.
