Every grocery I've been in sells a large amount of vegan food. Fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes/beans, nuts and seeds. Other processed products marketed to vegans, I think will vary by market location-- not necessarily by store name. For example, if you're in Portland, Oregon, you're going to find huge amounts of vegan products due to the large vegan population. If there are certain products you like that are not available by you, you can also approach the store manager to ask about having them keep some in stock.
My favorite place to shop is the farmer's market where there's always a large choice of the freshest produce at much lower prices, with friendlier people.

If by "vegan" you mean "fake meat", then check your local health food store for the most options. Just remember, being vegan isn't about processed soy products. If you stick to a healthy, balanced vegan diet you can get your food from any grocery store (fresh fruits and veggies, grains, nuts, seeds, legumes etc.).

Well, I'm not really sure, but when I was a vegetarian, I bought lots of things from Kroger's. My local Walmart also has a 'vegan' aisle. It's this huge aisle with nothing but vegan food in it. I hope this helped!

Whole foods specializes in health foods.
Go to your local farmers market or produce stand/store for fresh and organic produce.
I generally go to Kroger a lot for food because they have a bigger section of organic/whole/vegan/vegetarian options and lots of meat substitutes. They sell tempeh and lots of other stuff that other groceries around me don't sell.

Hi Alex, Don't know where you are from but WholeFoods Market sells the most. Pathmarks is getting good about selling vegetarian food products. Trader Joes sell vegetarian foods. Stop and Shop does too.

Whole Foods, Henry's, and Trader Joe's all sell vegan items. I'm not sure which sells the most though. Trader Joe's (in my opinion), sells the best fresh produce:).
