Child support questions?

A couple years ago I filed a child support case in CA. The father is in OR. Just like, last month I got a notice from the state saying that I'm owed $300/mo as of April, which currently adds up to $2400 that I have not seen.

The father is completely out of the picture, I have nothing to do with him, no idea where he is, and the only thing I know for sure is that he's selling drugs somewhere in OR if he's not dead. And that he got papers about a court-ordered child support order in the mail. Apparently though, my state was able to locate him. Whatever.

Anyway, what's going to happen to him for not paying his child support? Will my child and I ever get that money? Will the father go to jail and if so, after how much is owed? Are there any actions I can take?

I heard that after a certain amount is owed there will be a suspension on driver's license and such, but I know he doesn't have a license and would never fork out the money for one. Let alone a car. (Gets in the way of spending all his money on drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes).

Anything else? At all?

All of the things you mentioned can happen including license suspension but if he does not have a job where his wages can be garnished then you most likely will not get any money.
