I think that Collingwood will be good enough to go back to back. as they were side by side this year. haha.
The saints on the other hand will fall i would say. their purely defencive game was found out in the replay. and unless they can find another key forward. and some speed around the midfield. they are going to be sitting ducks next year. yep. they have had their window and now it is starting to close. same as Western Bulldogs and Geelong. these 3 teams will be around middle next season.

There is absolutely no reason for both these sides not to finish in the top four at least. The only hindrance they will both face will be psychological. The saints have now lost four Grand finals inside twelve months, or at least failed to secure silverware. I do not envy the mental coach job at ST Kilda over the pre season. The Pies have a different problem, and that is keeping the players grounded and focused on what they need to do to repeat the process next season. With all the ceremonial back slapping that is currently directed their way, this too is a job I most certainly do not envy. 1991 was a good example of this. Same side, but failed to make the finals. A real good pre season will make the encounters between these two next year an absolute joy to watch. cheers.

Both teams will be comfortably in the top 8. Other teams like Geelong and Footscray will be there too and are still a long way above most. Hawthorn are the big threat next year followed by Richmond and Melbourne, both on the rise
