Why does my dog run to his dish...?

Most everytime we tell Warsaw our poodle.".come on you want to go bye byes" He runs to his dish and starts eating ..like its his last meal! The food can sit there for hours...but when hes going out ORRRRR....when my husband is coming home..he runs and eats like its his last meal!

    I think he is eating it in case someone else eats it, including your husband, when he is out his walkies. We used to have a dog who rushed to clean his bowl whenever we let the budgie out his cage.

    Its probably like a fun thing for him, but he might actually think he's going to the vet, so he completely freaks out. Does your husband usually take Warsaw to the vet???????

    He probably thinks that someone will steal his food if he leaves the house.

    Or that your husband will steal his food.

    Have you tried feeding on a schedule opposed to free feeding?
