Would an Alpine-500W Class D Mono MOSFET Amplifier with Adjustable Crossover work good with a Rockford P3 15 in a ported box? Thanks!

    Yep, make sure you get the dvc 4 ohm so you can draw the 2 ohm load.

    If the P3 is the model P3D415 with dual 4 ohm voice coils, the Alpine MRP-M500 is an ideal match with 500 watts into a 2 ohm load.

    If the P3 is model P3D215 with dual 2 ohm voice coils, the Alpine MRP-M500 will only provide 300 watts with the voice coils in series for a 4 ohm load. The amp is not 1 ohm stable so with that model you cannot run the coils in parallel.
