Are there sites that say sharing files with other people is illegal?
i am doing a research project. ive worked for hours and still haven't found a site that says all types of file sharing should be ok. i need sites that support file sharing and have authors and a date last updated of at least 2008. The person who shows the most sites within 4 days will be given best answer. or if you want to quickly get best answer just list 5, and ignoring everyone else, ill give you best answer. dont forget to include the author, the site, the date last updated, and a little bit of information about it maybe 1 sentence :0

No it's not illegal, if you're sharing non-copyrighted material
some stuff that is illegal to share:
1.Downloading or sharing a copyrighted movie.
2.Sharing copyrighted songs (music) to other people who have not purchased those songs or downloading songs from other people when you've not purchased that song.
3.Sharing or downloading computer software (programs, games, etc.).
4.Downloading or sharing a copyrighted TV show or program.

If I understand what you are asking, you would be better off looking for legislation. There might be a sight that has laws for you to look at. In Australia, we have Austlii:

Look for something similar in the US.
Mostly it comes down to copyright and intellectual property.
