What connections do I need on my TV to hook up a laptop to it?

I need to purchase an LCD tv for my boss's office and he needs it to also double as a screen for viewing presentations, etc from a laptop.

The laptops run on Windows XP, are at about 3-5 years old and probably weren't top of the line even when they were new.

So what do I need to look for when purchasing the TV?

Thank you.

Your laptops most likely have a VGA port for an external monitor:

Look at the specs, very bottom of the page.

Only caveat I can think of is you may have some trouble finding XP drivers for a new TV. I'd take a look at the TV manufacturer's website for them BEFORE dropping coin on the set. Or maybe bring your laptop into the retailer's demo room to make sure it works.

I'm not suggesting this is the best TV for your application, or the only one with VGA input, it just happened to be the first one I clicked on to find you an example.

Well you need to make sure your laptops have some sort of video output port on them. If they do then you need to make sure the TV you get has the same ports (HDMI, ETC)
